No Need For Alarm…

If anyone hasn’t seen this, here is the recent news from Uganda.

Bad News:

neutralized with some good news and interesting background on Ugandan kingdoms:

Updates from an insider who is currently serving in PC Uganda just said via facebook:

“FYI – All volunteers are accounted for and we are all on “standfast” which means you can’t leave your sites until further notice. Unless there are more, I don’t think this would affect your arrival at all.”
and
“Kampala is generally thought of as the safest capital city in Africa (fyi)”
So not to worry. Funny story though. I was sitting around the house and Wesley’s mom and hayley were sitting around waiting to go out with her friend sue and her son Brian.. but brian was watching the world cup.. Wesley’s mom said to me “Dan, he shouldn’t be watching the world cup.. you should be because you’re going to Uganda!” A few hours later, she was doing laundry and I came in from outside and she said, “Uhhh, remember how I told you that you should be watching the world cup for Uganda.. I take that back; I was wrong! After the news..hahaha”
We’ll let us hope there are not any more bombings in Uganda’s future, for the Ugandan people’s safety and wellbeing. and for my future trip there in less than a month.
