Hello world!

Deeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarrr Diiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiarrry,

Hey! What’s up Doc? So, this is my new blog, I guess. Everytime I write blog, I accidentally spell it bog, and then I think of cranberries.

So, as of right now, I just talked to my PO (placement, not probabtion) yesterday, and she is sending me an invitation in the mail to serve as a Peace Corps volunteer in Africa (Sub-saharan) leaving early August 2010. On Peace Corps wiki.. then only options for these dates are Uganda, Senegal, or Namibia. I think it is going to be Uganda, which is leaving Aug. 9, and is also non-Francophone (my nomination), but doesn’t have a business program that I know of. Senegal has a big business program, is leaving Aug. 13, but is Francophone SSA. And lastly, Namibia, is leaving Aug. 16, does have 5 business volunteers coming and is in non-Francophone Africa, but is Aug. 16 really early August? No. I read “First Comes Love, then Comes Malaria” which was about Uganda, which made me more excited about that.

So we’ll see, I’ve waited 3 months, I think I can wait three days for the invitation. I didn’t really want to have a blog before this because, well, the application process is not really interesting to someone who is not applying. And if you are interested, there is plenty of people applying that ARE writing (cranberry) blogs, or there is a timeline of events page up top!

I will keep it updated when important things happen, so as not to bore you!
